ABOUT CHANCELLORIAL ADVISORY COMMITTEES
This page contains a listing and descriptions of non-stipended positions to which the UCLA Graduate Students Association makes yearly appointments. All appointments listed here are made by the GSA Vice President of Internal Affairs. Applications for committee appointments are published in late Spring or early Fall quarters of every academic year. Please visit the "Get Involved" tab for open positions.
CHANCELLORIAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON LGBT
The central purpose of this 12-member committee is to make recommendations designed to end any overt or covert oppression directed at people on the basis of their sexual orientation. In addition to correcting such negative treatment of gays and lesbians at UCLA, the committee can simultaneously identify opportunities for gays and lesbians, recognize them for their contributions to UCLA, and participate in progress toward a truly pluralistic community.
CHANCELLOR'S STUDENT CONDUCT COMMITTEE
The 10-member committee shall provide hearings for all cases referred to it under the Student Conduct Code of Procedures. It will also hear appeals by students from adjudications involving student conduct arising from the disciplinary bodies of a professional school.
CHANCELLOR'S ENROLLMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The committee advises the Chancellor on enrollment decision making to ensure that CEAC meets twice a quarter. Meetings last approximately two hours. The board is responsible for making sure that decisions are based on input from a variety of campus constituencies, long-range enrollment planning and short-term decision making are closely linked, enrollment planning is bottom-up and top-down, academic and non-academic factors inform decision making, and that enrollment planning is efficient, inclusive, and aligned with strategic planning
CHANCELLOR'S COMMITTEE ON SUSTAINABILITY
The Director of the Environmental Coalition and one GSA appointee have seats on the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability. The 15-member CACS is a new committee of faculty, staff and student representatives promoting sustainability campus wide.
