Overview
Many students do not finish their graduate degrees and drop out of their programs. The reasons behind leaving a program vary between individuals but overwhelming students point to financial strain, unclear academic and professional expectations, and lack of support as reasons for leaving. Further, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and other vulnerable and under-served student populations are disproportionately more likely to drop out and not finish their graduate studies. GSA has gathered allied from across campus to build a strategy of retention and support for the entire graduate student body and especially those vulnerable populations.
