Funding and Fellowships

The Graduate Division Outreach, Diversity & Fellowships Office has extensive information on fellowships in all areas of study. They also have fellowship information for women and minorities, and international students, as well as a library of fellowsip directories. Their office is located in 1252 Murphy Hall. The Graduate Division website is worth taking a look at on a regular basis.

Gradfellowships-L List
The Graduate Division Outreach, Diversity & Fellowships Office announces extramural funding opportunities available for graduate study, travel abroad, dissertation and postdoctoral research through this list. You can limit your subsciption to receive annoucements in specific categories.

Graduate & Postdoctoral Extramural Support (GRAPES)
The Grapes database contains information on approximately 400 scholarships, fellowships, internships, and awards for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Follow the link and then click "Search Grapes" at the bottom of the page to access the database.

Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS) Alert Service
The IRIS Alert Service is an automated funding-alert program. It enables researchersat subscribing institutions to create and save their own IRIS search profiles, using the full range of IRIS search criteria. You can choose settings for search frequency and delivery method of the results.

Community of Science (COS) Funding Alert
COS Funding Alert is a personalized electronic notification service of funding information. Subscribers receive a weekly email with a customized list of funding opportunities based on specified criteria. The funding information in COS is drawn from regularly updated information in the COS Funding Opportunities database of more than 23,000 records, representing over 400,000 funding opportunities, worth over $33 billion.

Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN)
SPIN is a database of research funding opportunties that also provides information about fellowships, postdoctoral opportunities and much more.

Includes Graduate Division brochure on continuing support for graduate students, application forms for continuing support, the annual and summer Graduate Research Mentorship Program, the Dissertation Year Fellowship, and letter of recomendation forms..

Includes information on the different types of support offered to graduate students at UCLA, as well as information on extramural support..
