This year we will be offering three types of tours for those students attending the orientation! Here's what tours we will offer, and some explanation so that you can best decide which to take:
General: General Tour will guide students through the central parts of UCLA, as well as student resources, campus services, and interesting highlights. This tour is intended to introduce new students to various regions of campus, as well as to provide insight into general activities going on around campus.
North Focus: If you are an incoming graduate student in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts, Anderson, or Law, then this tour might help you get to know your end of campus. This tour will focus on buildings, points of interest, food courts, coffee houses, and other interesting facts, specific to the north end of the UCLA campus. Not to worry, though! You will also be shown key graduate student resources! Led by a graduate student familiar with North Campus, you are sure to get an insider's scoop on North Campus.
South Focus: A tour for students entering the Physical, Life, and Health Sciences (including the professional schools, such as Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry). On the South Focus Tour, students will be led through the various buildings shooting up around the southern end of campus. You will be introduced to many food and coffee places, points of interest and sites to see, from an insider's perspective. As in other tours, you will also be introduced to key graduate student resources.
If you are unable to attend any of the tour times due to a time conflict, you can tour the campus the following week -- Week 0 of Fall Quarter. Here are the tour times and types available:
