GSA Resolution to Endorse the SAFE (Students, Activities, Facilities and Employees) ReferendumWHEREAS Forum, on February 16, 2005, voted unanimously to put the ASUCLA SAFE referendum on the spring GSA ballot; WHEREAS the Graduate Student Association is one of four entities of ASUCLA and together with the Undergraduate Student Association have a student-majority representation on the ASUCLA Board of Directors; WHEREAS this student-majority ASUCLA Board keeps the Association student-centered and responsive to student needs; WHEREAS the ASUCLA fee will provide GSA and the UCLA graduate students with enhanced programming, improved services, and renovated facilities improving the quality of life for all graduate students; BE IT RESOLVED that the Graduate Students Association endorse the SAFE referendum in which $12 per year for four consecutive years starting in 2006-07 will be added to the ASUCLA fee, so that the total amount of the ASUCLA Student Union Fee as of 2009-2010 shall be $55.50 per year.
