HousingGSA actively advocates for graduate students when dealing with housing including University Apartments and the new housing complex, Weyburn Terrace, which recently opened in Westwood. What are my options? Each of these options is described below, and links are provided for further information. University-Owned HousingUCLA Housing provides housing options for single students and for students with families, spouses, or domestic partners. Learn about university-owned housing options, apply for housing, make payments, and more at www.housing.ucla.edu. The University Apartments South Residents Association advocates for and represents residents living in the University Apartments south of campus (many of these residents are graduate students with families or partners). Non-University-Owned HousingUCLA Community Housing Office is the best starting point to learn about off-campus, non-university-owned housing options. They have information on the neighborhoods surrounding UCLA, average rental rates, vacant rental listings, roommate searching, and more. Visit their website at www.cho.ucla.edu. You can also view the listings of these property management companies serving the greater West LA area:
Finding a RoommateSometimes it is easier to search for a roommate instead of a vacant apartment or house. You can find someone with a room available in their apartment, even in University Apartments, and move in with them. Or you may want to advertise a space available in your apartment, or find potential roommates and go apartment hunting together. These resources can help you find a roommate:
