Transportation

From congestion and the availability of parking when driving to the speed, reliability, and cost of public transit, almost no other issue affects everyone's daily life as much as transportation.

Here at GSA, we actively advocate graduate student interests concerning issues of transportation and parking. We also maintain a seat on the UCLA Transportation Services Advisory Board, which allows us to comment on University transportation policy and offer recommendations to improve the mobility and accessibility of graduate students. Please feel free to email us with any concerns, questions, or suggestions you may have.

Leave the car at home and save on parking!
Discounted public transportation options for UCLA grad students:

Do you know about BruinGo?

You can ride the Santa Monica Big Blue Bus or the Culver City Bus for just $0.25 with your Bruin ID card or ride free with the purchase of a Flash Pass. Together, both bus systems cover most of the Westside, making it easy, convenient, and cheap to commute to campus on public transit. For the 2006-2007 school year, BruinGo! begins September 18, 2006. For more information on the BruinGo program, click here.

Do you know about Go Metro?

As a UCLA student, you can purchase an unlimited ride pass on Metro buses and trains at a significant discount. Nearly 1,200 trips are made by Metro buses to UCLA and Westwood daily. Passes are sold two weeks prior to the beginning of each quarter. For more information on Go Metro, click here.
