The International Graduate Students Association (IGSA) at UCLA is going to lead the program of GradFam (Graduate Family), which will create bonds among international graduate students. Those that join GradFam will be assigned to a group to know each other better, assist each other when having problems while studying abroad.
The IGSA GradFam Initiative will be launched this quarter with a size of around 40 participants. These participants will be broken up into smaller groups of 7-8 based on the participants’ interests.
Each group will be led by a GradFam Lead, who arranges small socials and “hangouts” for his or her assigned group. GradFam leads will be supported and trained by the IGSA Executive Board. In short, GradFam Leads are graduate students that organize and facilitate hangouts to bond international students together. It will definitely be a fun and memorable experience that enhances your graduate experience at UCLA!
