Eric is a first-year graduate student in the Masters in Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) program. He graduated UCLA with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2010 and worked for the past year as a Rental Coordinator at the UCLA Community Housing Office. Proud to be car-free in Los Angeles for six years and counting, Eric is deeply interested in improving public transportation in Los Angeles, as well as breaking down stigmas and barriers to bus riding. Additionally, Eric is passionate about turning off lights and unplugging appliances, which led him to create a comprehensive energy audit in Summer 2009 of the U.S. Department of Transportation's field office in Salem, Oregon and eventually contributed to his desire to be director of the SRC.
