UASRA Position Descriptions & Stipend Scale

Elected Positions: Annual Election in May

President $520/month:
Qualifications: 18 years or older and 3 months prior position in UASRA
Responsibilities:
Supervise: Vice Pres, Sec, Treasurer, and Newsletter Editor
Chair: Monthly Officers, Policy Review Board, General Assembly, Management and Advisor Meetings
Write: Monthly article for the newsletter and various communications to management
Review: Monthly newsletter, UASRA budget expenditures, management’s budget and rental increase proposals
Represent: in consultation with individuals or university departments, or in discussions that affect UA/S within the University and that affect UA/S with off-campus parties or private concerns.
Participate: 2 UASRA activities

Vice President $405/month:
Qualifications: 18 years or older and 3 months prior position in UASRA
Responsibilities:
Supervise: Program Coordinators, Community Center Coordinator, and Unit Representatives
Advise: Junior Advisory Council Chairperson
Review: Monthly newsletter
Represent: Liaison between UASRA and GSA
Attend: Monthly Officers, Policy Review Board, General Assembly, Junior Advisory Council Meetings, Advisor meetings, any other meeting specified by the President, and all activities

Treasurer $330/month:
Qualifications: 18 years or older and 3 months prior position in UASRA
Responsibilities:
Attend: Monthly Officers, Policy Review Board, General Assembly Meetings and any other meetings specified by the President
Report: Annual and monthly budget
Maintain: Checking account
Participate: 2 UASRA activities
Requirements: Make presentations in front of large audiences, including management and administration; proficient in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks; have the ability to communicate and work well with others; and must meet deadlines and be organized.

Secretary $300/month:
Qualifications: 18 years or older
Responsibilities:
Attend: Monthly Officers, Policy Review Board, General Assembly Meetings and any other meetings specified by the President
Write: Monthly minutes at each meeting
Arrange: Food for General Assembly meeting
Maintain: Office supplies, update by-laws and constitution, and UASRA web page
Participate: 2 UASRA activities

Event Coordinator $360/month:
Qualifications: 18 years or older
Responsibilities:
Attend: Monthly Officers and General Assembly Meetings, UASRA Events, and any other meetings specified by the President
Plan: 7 events over the year including opening social
Maintain: UASRA garage
Write: Summary of UASRA events for the newsletter, event flyers and event ads for newsletter

Newsletter Editor $345/month:
Qualifications: 18 years or older
Responsibilities:
Attend: Monthly Officers, General Assembly Meetings and any other meetings specified by the President
Edit: Monthly newsletter, post to list serve, and submit for e-delivery
Solicit: Advertisements for newsletter
Distribute: Activity and other flyers to Unit Reps
Participate: 2 UASRA activities

Community Center Coordinator $400/month:
Qualifications: 18 years or older
Responsibilities:
Attend: Monthly Officers and General Assembly Meetings and any other meetings specified by the President
Schedule: Community Center, Resource Room and Gazebo events
Coordinate: All UASRA classes
Newsletter: Advertise the classes with a class schedule for each quarter in the Newsletter at least two weeks in advance and throughout University Apartments/South.
Post: Monthly calendar of events
Supervise: Community Center and Resource Room Maintenance Coordinators and UASRA Instructors
Enforce: Compliance to Center rules and regulations, UASRA Class Regulations
Participate: 2 UASRA activities

Unit Representatives $105/month:
Qualifications: 18 years or older
Responsibilities:
Attend: Monthly General Assembly Meetings
Distribute: Flyers as requested by Vice President
Plan: 2 activities for area of responsibility funded by UASRA
Conduct: A “walk-through” in area with maintenance
Participate: 2 UASRA activities
