The UCLA School of Nursing has operated the Health Center at the Union Rescue Mission (www.urm.org) since 1983.  The Center, a nurse practitioner managed facility, operates in the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles and provides primary health care to the homeless and indigent population on Skid Row.  The center sees approximately 2,500 patients each year, for a total of 8,000 visits.  The Center welcomes individuals who wish to volunteer particularly medical personnel.  Tax deductible contributions are ideal and can meet many needs.
